We provide a safe, warm, and welcoming environment that is designed to focus on your toddler’s primary areas of development. Toddlers learn and develop through play, hands-on activities and interactions with others. We offer exploration with age-appropriate toys, art activities, sand play, story time, singing, fingerplays, dancing and story time. Through individual and group activities your toddler will enhance their developing language, large and small muscle skills and social/ emotional development. This class is a cooperative playgroup with each child accompanied by parent or caregiver.

Our preschool program is designed to provide an enriching environment with activities to enhance your child’s development in a quality educational setting. Pre-math skills including number recognition, counting and geometric shapes are introduced. We encourage and support their ability to question, think and problem solve. Pre-reading and language skills are developed through dramatic play, music and story time. Social and emotional intelligence skills, necessary for future success in both school and life are encouraged.

PRE-K PROGRAM

For 4 and 5 year olds

We provide ongoing assessments of a child’s learning and development recognizing that each child is unique with different talents and gifts as we prepare them for kindergarten. Our curriculum focuses on developing literacy and language skills that provide the framework for successful reading experiences. Exposure to quality children’s literature, music, identification of letters and their sounds, and creative writing are offered at developmentally appropriate levels. Math and science concepts are developed through hands on experiments and activities. Fine and large motor skills as well as emotional and social skills are developed through individual and group activities.

UPK - UNIVERSAL PRE-K

UPK is offered in collaboration with the Chenango Forks School District. It is for CF residents with children born between 12/1/05 and 11/30/06. Please contact the Preschool Director for more information.
